CAUG’s February 4, 2015 meeting will be about identity systems for small businesses and freelance individuals. The presentation will be by Michel Ségard. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm, and will be held at Whitney Young High School, 211 S. Laflin, Chicago, IL 60607. The event is made possible by the Chicago Apple User Group. There is no admission charge, and the event is open to everyone.
What is an identity system? It is the “visible elements of a brand, such as color, form, and shape, which encapsulate and convey the symbolic meanings that cannot be imparted through words alone”* incorporated into all the necessary business communication components.
The presentation will include samples of well-designed identity systems; the five components that should determine what your identity system looks like; and six basic steps to create an identity system.
Mr. Ségard will use the information from a volunteer to actually create an example identity system for someone’s small business. All the files created in this example will be given to the volunteer to use as he/she sees fit.Meeting logistics:
